.....June 17-21, 2004 - Pam comes to Atlanta to help move many vehicles.....

.....arriving on a Greyhound in Atlanta and what she looked like prior to leaving Terlingua a few days later.....

.....Jake sees a new friend coming (Woodstock GA).....

.....sorry Jake! Yer going out to Big Bend on the next trip.....
.....yer pappa's gotta come back for ya after taking down the other "horses & chariots".....

1960 Ford Fire Truck.....
.....20K miles and new rubber
with a 500 gallon water tank.....
.....a new toy - and functional!.....

.....there are many ways of measuring
true friendship - there are very few
who can show their love and not
only just go way out there but above
and beyond.....not many out there
would get on a Greyhound bus,
travel for almost 24 hours, rest a
few hours then drive a RV camper
(and then a 24 foot Penke box truck)
1400 miles, unload two motorcycles
and a three horse flat trailer packed
to the max with furniture and large
heavy boxes in the hot Terlingua
sun, take a shit out in the desert
then go shower, listening to two
50some year old men stessed out to
the max giving each other all kinds
of shit and then get back on a
Greyhound bus at 11:45 pm for the
36 hour trip back to a comfortable
bed and loving woman (thanks
Patti!) in Missouri....
